PHI Uploader setup guides

Short operational steps for account security, BAA readiness, Drive delivery, and first-test workflow.

Account security

Set up your sign-in code

  1. Install or open an authenticator app or password manager that can save one-time codes.
  2. Sign in to PHI Uploader and open Account > Security.
  3. Verify your email if prompted.
  4. Choose Set up under Authenticator code.
  5. Scan the QR code, or enter the manual setup key.
  6. Type the 6-digit code from the authenticator and choose Verify.

No authenticator app yet

  1. Contact the PHI Uploader platform admin during onboarding.
  2. A platform admin can grant a 24-hour temporary email-code fallback.
  3. Open Account > Security, send the inbox code, and verify it.
  4. Install an authenticator before the temporary exception expires.

Sign the BAA and attest Google Workspace BAA

  1. Open Account > Organization.
  2. Have an authorized owner complete the PHI Uploader BAA.
  3. Confirm the customer Google Workspace HIPAA BAA is active.
  4. Save the attestation and wait for platform owner approval before creating production request links.

Connect Google Drive

  1. Open Account > Integrations.
  2. Connect the approved Google Drive account.
  3. Choose or create the destination folder for secure intake submissions.
  4. Confirm the folder appears in Account > Delivery.

Run your first non-PHI test request

  1. Open Dashboard after MFA, BAA, platform approval, and Drive readiness are complete.
  2. Create a request using test names and test files only.
  3. Copy the request link and access code separately, then submit the public request link yourself.
  4. Confirm the PDF and clean files arrive in Drive.
  5. Confirm raw answers show as purged in request detail.
